What the service does
The All-Over Color Lift uses an overall lightening process followed by a single-process color to brighten and refresh your base. It’s intended for clients who want to lift their entire color before applying a new tone, for example moving from dark brown to red or from brown to blonde. Note: color correction and foiling are not included.
This service creates an even, lifted foundation for the new shade rather than selective highlights or corrective work. Because it treats the whole head, the result is smoother and more uniform, but final shade and evenness depend on your starting color, hair condition, and the level of lift achievable safely for your hair.
How we perform the lift
We begin with a consultation to confirm the desired level of lift and final tone appropriate for your hair’s condition. The process itself consists of an overall lightening step to raise the base level, followed by a single-process application to deposit the chosen tone. Styling is not included and must be booked separately; color correction or foiling are also excluded from this service.
Expect the appointment to be planned around your hair’s texture and health because those factors shape how much lift is safe and realistic in a single session. The listed duration is 90 minutes and the price is $250, but actual time can vary depending on hair type, condition, and the outcome you and your stylist agree on.
Aftercare and maintenance tips
After an all-over lift and tone, color-safe shampoos and conditioners help maintain brightness and tone. Avoid heavy chlorine exposure and prolonged hot-water washing, which can dull color more quickly in the humid summers common to the Washington area. Regular at-home care and occasional glossing sessions will help preserve the even result you achieved in the salon.
Follow-up schedules depend on how quickly your hair grows and how much root contrast you want to avoid; some clients return for refreshes or tone adjustments sooner when making dramatic transitions. Because styling isn’t included, plan a separate appointment if you want a finished blowout.
