How the method works
Hand-Tied Extensions (also called beaded wefts) use finely crafted wefts secured with small, discreet beads along sectioned hair. The beads hold the weft in place while the thin weft profile keeps the attachment low-profile. This distribution of weight across multiple anchor points produces a softer fall and reduces visible bulk compared with some heavier weft methods.
Because each weft is hand-tied and placed in rows, placement is tailored to where you need length or fullness. The stylist plans row spacing and orientation to create natural blending with your existing hair. Note that bundles are not included in the install, so hair for the wefts must be purchased separately or arranged before the appointment.
Fit, comfort, and movement
The combination of hand-tied wefts and discreet beads emphasizes comfortable wear and natural movement. The low-profile weft allows hair to move with your head rather than sitting stiffly, which many clients prefer for daily activities and styling. Comfort depends on correct placement and the amount of weight added, decisions made during your consultation.
Local conditions like Washington’s humid summers influence how your extensions will style and settle. Your stylist will consider your lifestyle—commuting, activity level, and daily styling—to recommend weft placement, layering, and cutting choices that preserve movement and manage humidity without compromising blend.
Installation and purchasing hair
If you need to purchase hair for your install, Studio Chique offers premium luxury extensions designed for long-term use and professional coloring. Simply tell us your desired length and we’ll handle sourcing and preparation so the hair is ready for installation. Remember that bundles are not included in the install fee and are purchased separately.
Color matching and length selection happen in consultation so the wefts complement your hair texture and goals. Bring reference photos and be prepared to discuss daily styling to determine density and length. Once the hair is selected and prepared, the installation follows the stylist’s placement map to optimize blend, comfort, and movement.
